To travel from the granite cathedrals of Torres del Paine to the icy kingdoms of Los Glaciares is to traverse a landscape where the earth still breathes in primal, jagged gasps. It is a journey dictated by the "Roaring Forties" winds, leading you from the emerald lagoons and obsidian horns of Chile — where guanacos roam beneath pillars of pale stone — across the invisible border into the thunderous heart of Argentine Santa Cruz. Here, the silence of the steppe is shattered only by the visceral, white-blue crack of the Perito Moreno Glacier calving into the milky depths of Lago Argentino, or the golden light of dawn igniting the serrated skyline of Mount Fitz Roy. Between these two giants lies a vast, raw wilderness that humbles the soul, offering a rare glimpse into a world where nature remains unapologetically wild, beautifully desolate, and hauntingly eternal.

DAY 5: Torres del Paine / Cerro Castillo / El Calafate
.png)
.png)
An emotional farewell is expected as we leave the Torres del Paine behind for a drive to the border town of Cerro Castillo, where we complete formalities, eventually entering into
Argentina. A 3hrs drive ensues to El Calafate. On the scenic journey, we will witness ragged peaks, dramatic terrain and the occasional gauchos tending to their sheep.
We arrive to the grounds of EOLO - Patagonia's Spirit, a magical lodge built on the land where the first creole and European immigrants of the area initially set foot, set in 10,000 acres of expansive land halfway between El Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park. Inspired in the historic estancias of the area, the entire hotel - from its furniture to its dishware - combines the simple structure of the creole houses with hints of the area's original people and vanguard aspects of modern architecture.

DAY 6: El Calafate (Excursion of Los Glaciares National Park
.png)
.png)
Awake this morning as we set off and prepare for a jaw-dropping day experiencing the incredible glaciers of Patagonia in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Los Glaciares National Park, offering a magnificent combination of forest, lakes, mountains, ice and steppes with over 200 glaciers.
This morning, we transfer to La Soledad Port embarking on the Maria Turquesa cruise. The voyage commences in a northeasterly direction, passing Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, which at 800m wide, form the narrowest part of the lake. After sailing for 2 hours, we will get close to the spectacular Upsala Glacier, almost a stone's throw. The cruise then continues south on Lake Argentino and eventually to the Spegazzini Glacier whose walls tower up to 135m above the lake. As the day continues, we sail on to Puesto de las Vacas, an extremely calm bay in the Spegazzini Channel, where we disembark to stretch our legs on a very beautiful and interesting stroll, during which, among other activities, we visit an old pioneer outpost. Finally, navigating along the Tempanos Channel, we arrive to the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier’s northern face, enjoying the spectacular views of this famous glacier. Returning back to La Soledad Port in the evening, disembark and return to EOLO - Patagonia's Spirit.

DAY 7: El Calafate
.png)
We have another day to soak in the enchanting landscapes at EOLO - Patagonia's Spirit. Many activities of differentiated physical levels are there for you to indulge. From horseback safaris through the Patagonian steppes to hiking trails to get closer to the glaciers. The day is yours to breathe and feel the land.

DAY 8: El Calafate / El Chalten
.png)
.png)
This morning, we leave El Calafate for a remarkably scenic 4hrs drive north to El Chalten passing by estancias tucked in vast areas of the Patagonian pampas, against the backdrop of the Andes where time no longer matters and soon, we find ourselves driving along the banks of Lake Viedma where we may make occasional stops to admire the beauty of one of the largest glacially-formed lakes formed by the Viedma glaciers, spanning nearly 270,000 acres and home to a variety of birds such as
flamingos, eagles, condors and endangered mammals such as gray foxes, armadillos, red dwarfed dears and more.
Traversing almost the entirety of the lake, we drift inland, revealing the steep peaks of Mount Fitzroy in the distance and arriving at the Explora El Chalten – our home for the next 3 nights. With views to the Electric Valley and the Marconi Glacier, Explora El Chalten is nestled in the Los Huemules Reserve to the north of El Chalten bordering Los Glaciares National Park. This will be our base from which we enter into a world of infinite discovery of one of the last untamed wilderness in the world.
