DAY 1: Arrive Barcelona / The Costa Brava / Torrent

Arrive Barcelona El Prat Airport and embark on a parallel scenic drive against the shimmering coast of the Costa Brava before making a stop in the seaside town of Blanes, blessed with beautiful beaches and unmissable Catalan atmosphere. Visit the stunning Jardi Botanic Marimurta, a garden with more than 4,000 varieties of flora amidst steep cliffs with enviable views of the Mediterranean. Consider a visit to the medieval Sant Joan Castle, built as a watchtower guarding against raids of the Saracen pirates.
We then head inland for a comfortable drive before returning back to the Costa Brava coast, stopping in the fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and well-preserved, adorned with narrow streets and rows of traditional white fisherman dwellings, now home to restaurants, bars, shops and restored houses.
Finally, a short drive away arrives us at Mas de Torrent, an 18th Century Catalan farmhouse converted into a luxury Relais & Chateaux hotel.

DAY 2: Torrent (Heart of the Emporda)

A beautiful day beckons as we uncover the stunning towns and villages of the Emporda while indulging in the hedonist lifestyle.
On a full-flexible basis, we have the opportunity to discover a myriad of experiences, ranging from the rich heritage of ceramics in La Bisbal d'Emporda to the pretty and historic towns of Peratallada and Pals adorn with fairytale settings, medieval streets and charming stone houses. Worth a visit as well is Begur with its white-washed buildings, close to the stunning beaches of Sa Tuna and a paradise for seafood.

DAY 3: Torrent / Girona

We leave the charming Mas de Torrent behind to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed city of Girona, one of the best-preserved in Europe renowned as a filming site for the "Game of Thrones". Walk through the medieval city with a mix of architectural styles from the Romans, Visigoths, Arabs and Carolingians.
Marvel at the Girona Cathedral, the iconic landmark of Girona boasting the widest unsupported gothic arch in the world. Walk through the Jewish Quarter with its colorful rows of houses and the Pont de les Peixateries Velles along the banks of the River Onyar casting one of the most photogenic sites in all of Spain.
Visit the 12th Century Sant Pere de Galligants Monastery, the most important Romanesque monument in Girona.
Finally, we retreat to the inspiring Hotel Esperit Roca, owned by the famous Roca brothers who helm the Three-Michelin starred El Celler de Can Roca. Opened in 2024, the destination stay, situated atop the restored 19th Century Castell de Sant Julia de Ramis is now home to one of the newest dining destination in Spain and Europe. DAY 4: Girona

Continue our journey north from the Girones and into the art city of Figueres - birthplace of Salvador Dali and part of the "Dalí triangle". Visit the Dali Museum, the largest surrealistic object in the world designed by Dali himself upon the ruins of the old municipal theater. Next, we visit the Castell de Sant Ferran, the largest bastioned fortress in Europe with a total area of 550,000 square metres.
Shortly, a comfortable drive arrives us to the quaint ancient town of Peralada, dating back to more than 500 B.C. On an insightful tour of the town, we visit the new Peralada Winery, emboldened by incredible modern architecture and the first winery to achieve the LEED Gold sustainability certification. Enjoy an informative tour of the facilities and cellars as well as guided tasting of its wines. Next, we visit the 14th Century Castell de Peralada, one of the most emblematic landmarks of the Emporda region that is also home to its own Michelin-starred restaurant, the winery and more than 8 hectares of manicured gardens.
Finally, we will retreat to the Hotel Peralada, an incredible oasis from which to luxuriate and rejuvenate.

DAY 6: Peralada (The Dali Path)

Start the day with a visit to the impeccable Terra Remota Winery, perfectly situated in the Pyrenees Mountains with its striking contemporary design and environmental blending into the landscapes. Embark on a lesson in sustainable viticulture, appreciate the beautiful art installations accompanying the estate and a tasting of its remarkable wines.
Thereafter, we head eastwards to Portlligat, home to Dali's House Museum where in 1930, Dali decided to reside in a tiny cove, building his house upon a group of fishermen's huts where he lived with his beloved wife and muse, Gala. Enjoy a visit into the studio where the painter created his most important works.
Nearby, we continue to the white-washed village of Cadaques, renowned for its gorgeous landscape and one of the most beautiful coastal villages of Spain. Enjoy a delightful walk going through the labyrinth of charming alleys.

DAY 7: Peralada / Besalu / Castellfollit de la Roca / Olot

We depart Peralada today for our first stop, the medieval fortified town of Besalu, ranked as one of Spain's most beautiful village. Part of the Carminos de Sefarad Jewish pilgrimage route, learn about its Jewish heritage while exploring the spectacular architecture including the iconic 8-arch Ponte Viejo bridge and the Churches of Sant Vicente and Sant Pere.
Later, we will enter into the domains of the volcanic Garrotxa region with a visit to the hilltop village of Castellfollit de la Roca, uniquely perched on a kilometre-long basalt formation and 160m high cliff providing one of the most dramatic scenes of the Garrotxa.
The final stop for the day culminates in our arrival at the enigmatic Les Cols Pavellons in the town of Olot, one of the most unusual hotels in Spain and the world featuring Zen decor rooms with glass floors and walls and a 2 Michelin star restaurant helmed by female Chef Fina Puigdevall housed in a 13th Century farmhouse and 5 glass and steel pavilions designed by the skillful architects of RCR-Aranda-Vilalta-Pigem studio.

DAY 8: Olot / Vilafranca del Penedes

You have the opportunity this morning for an inspiring hot air balloon flight (OPTIONAL & weather-depending) over the incredible Croscat Volcano, the Santa Margarida Volcano and the Jorda beech forest that will leave you in awe. Alternatively, visit the Espai Crater Museum where you will discover about the Garrotxa volcanic region through interactive shows, audiovisual displays and virtual reality.
From here, we continue south to Vilafranca del Penedes, home to wines and "castellers" human towers. We will begin an intriguing tour of the historic center from the Placa de Jaume I, with its gothic architecture that includes the Palau Balta, the magnificent Cloister of Sant Francesc and the Mercat Municipal de la Carn. Soon, we make a dedicated visit to the VINSEUM, a museum showcasing the winemaking legacies and heritage of Catalonia's most revered wine region. Our visit then continues to Cal Figarot, headquarters of the castellers human towers where we delve into the world of the renowned Catalan heritage and tradition epitomizing the resilience of the human spirit. Enjoy the opportunity to witness a training session and interaction with castellers of all ages.
Finally, we retreat to the spectacular Cava & Hotel Mastinell with its unique architecture emulating the sinuous form of cava bottles on a riddling rack and its roof features a mosaic that pays tribute to Antoni Gaudí.

DAY 9: Vilafranca del Penedes (The Wines of Penedes)

An incredible day beckons as we embark on a wine pilgrimage of the stunning Penedes wine region described as the equivalent if not, superior wine-producing destination than even La Rioja in Basque Country of Spain. Learn about some of the most incredible "Cava" wine estates that specializes in sparkling white and rose where almost 95% of all cava are only produced in Penedes. An undoubted visit will be the Can Rafols dels Caus Winery, located in an impressive and stunning setting of the Garraf Massif mountain range established by Carlos Esteva since the 1970s producing an exciting range of modern wines that elevates the traditional cavas scene.
Later, we visit the historic Cavas Freixenet in the town of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, established in 1861, allowing us the chance to witness its underground cellars and cava production.
Finally, no visit to the Penedes wine region is complete without an official inspection of Familia Torres' Vardon Kennett Winery, set in a majestic 19th Century farmhouse, producing some of the finest and elegant sparkling wines.

DAY 10: Vilafranca del Penedes / Sitges / Barcelona

After 2 sensational days indulging in the wines of Penedes, we return to the Catalonia coast to the seaside town of Sitges with its Mediterranean charm, beautiful beaches and a bohemian atmosphere becoming one of the most popular beach destination for locals as well as Europeans. Stretch our legs with a walk through the old town centre, dominated by charming buildings and white-washed houses. Worth a visit is the Museu de Maricel with its beautiful facade and housing more than 3,000 exhibits of exceptional Romanesque, Renaissance murals as well as revered arts. Consider taking a walk in the narrow streets of Sitges which offers a charming escape such as the Carrer d'en Bosc and the Carrer de la Davallada.
We will then return to Barcelona where you may continue your journey or consider your wine pilgrimage exploration to the incredible Priorat wine region.
