Highlights
andBeyond Galapagos Explorer
A floating sanctuary for just 12 guests, the Galapagos Explorer blends refined comfort with the thrill of true exploration. Sail deep into the archipelago’s wild heart, reaching islands and wildlife few will ever encounter — and seeing them in a way that leaves them just as wild. With just four cabins and two suites, space feels both private and personal. Service is instinctive — a quiet gesture, a favourite drink remembered, a thoughtful touch before you even think to ask. Our guides share a deep love for these islands, shaping each day around what matters.
Experiences
A living showcase of evolution and the birthplace of Darwin’s theory, the Galapagos is unlike any other place on Earth. More than 80% of its wildlife exists nowhere else, and many species live only on a single island. Volcanic shores give way to turquoise bays, where wildlife has never learned to fear humans. Each island feels like a discovery still unfolding. Recognised as one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, the Galapagos became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. More than 80% of its animals and 30% of its plants are found nowhere else. Today, over 97% of the islands are protected as a national park, with strict visitor limits safeguarding this rare wilderness.

Two itineraries. One Wonder
The Galapagos can’t be captured in a single voyage. Two set-departure, 7-night itineraries explore either the eastern or western islands, each with its own wildlife, landscapes, and moments of magic. Itineraries rotate every 7 nights, so you can sail one or combine both for the complete story.

Guayaquil reveals itself woven from the humid breeze of the Guayas River and the rhythmic pulse of a city that never truly sleeps. The Barrio Las Peñas climbs Santa Ana Hill in a kaleidoscopic ascent of colonial charm, where cobblestone streets whisper stories of poets and pirates beneath the glow of a sentinel lighthouse. Along the sprawling Malecón 2000, the modern skyline harmonizes with lush botanical gardens, offering a sophisticated sanctuary where urban energy meets the tranquil water’s edge. It is a place of soulful contrasts, where the exotic sight of iguanas lounging in historic parks meets the bold, industrious spirit of a port city that serves as the gateway to the Galapagos.

Enjoy time to unwind and this evening, be treated to a sumptuous dinner at the hotel's waterfront restaurant, Casa Julian, specializing in the finest seafood and freshest fish. Fully rejuvenated, we set out to explore the vibrant port city, essential as the gate to the Galapagos. We begin our tour along the Malecon 2000 waterfront promenade that stretches over 2.5km along the Guayas River with artistic expressions of lifestyle living. An unmissable sight is the La Rotunda Monument, commemorating the friendship between Ecuador and Argentina featuring the monumental sculptures of two key figures in South American history: Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín. Nearby, make a stop at the Parque Seminario, also known as "Iguana Park" due to the many free-roaming iguanas that reside here.
Thereafter, continue to the historic Las Penas district, at the foot of Cerro Santa Ana. Guayaquil's oldest neighborhood is a vibrant example of the fusion of history, art, and culture. Its narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with colorful houses featuring wooden balconies, now home to artists' studios, galleries, small cafes, and restaurants. Take time to wander through the narrow streets and charming colonial buildings and climb the 444 steps of Cerro Santa Ana for mesmerizing panoramic views of the city.

DAY 11: Departure Guayaquil

Today, we will depart Guayaquil to the airport for your international flight return or continue your journey of Ecuador.
Hotel del Parque

Imagine a veritable time capsule hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the great Pacific port of Guayaquil. In the 1980s-historic buildings threatened with destruction were moved-rebuilt and renovated plank-by-plank on the banks of the Daule. Hotel del Parque was one of these buildings. Today-you can discover it standing elegantly-wrapped in the tropical bosom of a vast botanical garden.
